A board-certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Boudakian is a graduate of the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her pediatric residency at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center.
Over the course of her nearly two-decade career in pediatrics, she has practiced both conventional (allopathic) medicine and osteopathy. In addition to many years in private practice for general pediatrics, she has also spent time specializing in adolescent medicine and pediatric rehabilitation medicine, focusing on neurologic, congenital and traumatic brain conditions. She has taught cranial osteopathy at Western University of Health Sciences and biodynamic osteopathy. She currently is adjunct faculty in the Osteopathic Manual Medicine department at Tuoro University in Northern California.
Dr. Boudakian learned about Osteopathy through her parents–both dentists. During her teens, her parents saw many difficult dental patients with TMD (temporal mandibular dysfunction), which caused headaches and neck related problems. They were among the first dentists in California to take a basic cranial osteopathy course with Viola Frymann, D.O. Hearing about the great results they got utilizing osteopathy inspired Dr. Boudakian to take a similar approach to healing: to become an Osteopathic physician herself — learning conventional medicine and how to use her hands to diagnose and treat the human body.
It is her privilege and joy to be part of the care of a family.
